about
Kit4Kids Since 2020

Hi there! I'm Allegra

Your friendly local resident and the founder of Kit4kids Children’s Clothing Bank.

Back in January 2020, at the beginning of the pandemic, I noticed that families, especially as an NHS frontline worker, were facing emotional and financial challenges. Drawing on my own personal passion for recycling, I came up with the idea of Kit4kids to address both of these issues.

Now, not only are we providing support to families in need, but we're also doing our part to protect our precious planet. By saving tons and tons of clothing from ending up in landfills, we're making a positive impact on the environment. It's a win-win situation, and I'm thrilled to be leading of this community effort! 😊🌍

A Guide to Kit4Kids

How it Works

We're grateful for all of your generous donations of high-quality, gently-used clothing, footwear, and linen, which you contribute free of charge. Our amazing volunteers take the time to carefully sort, check, wash and iron items as needed. Once prepared, these items find new homes in our community through our delightful shop "The Cabin" where everything is offered at no cost. (only the £4 entry fee)

Please note that we cannot accept equipment or toys, and we do not accept any adult clothing. Currently, our outreach extends across the entirety of Waverley, and on special occasions, we've even reached beyond our immediate borders.

Thank you for being a vital part of our compassionate initiative. Your support makes a meaningful difference in the lives of those we aim to assist.

Due to the growing demand for support, and the passion of recycling, our outreach now extends across Waverley and the wider surrounding Regions.

The Cabin

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Godalming Town Football Club for generously providing us with a dedicated space to showcase our donated clothing.

We’re excited to announce that our new space, affectionately known as 'The Cabin,' will be open on Mondays and Tuesday from 9:15 AM to 12:15 PM, with an additional child-free session on Thursdays from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Please be aware that we are unable to accept donations directly at The Cabin. Kindly continue to schedule your drop-offs at Nathans Godalming.

With our relocation to The Cabin at Godalming Town Football Club, we will no longer be hosting our Popup Shops.

We look forward to seeing you.

a huge thank you to

Our Partners

We warmly welcome everyone, embracing diversity and extending a helping hand to those facing various challenges.

We also welcome individuals who share our passion for protecting the planet through recycling to join us on our journey.

At Kit4kids, we believe in a judgment-free environment. No questions asked. We invite you to join us at our cabin,  where you can freely browse/choose from our seasonal clothing. Our main focus is to provide clothing from aged birth to 5 years, although we do have a small rail of over 5 years, currently up to 15 years.

Based in my family home in Farncombe, Kit4kids started with just me, but thanks to the enthusiasm of others, we now have an team of 10 amazing volunteers.

We’re always seeking volunteers to assist with washing and ironing, and although we can’t provide monetary compensation, your support is invaluable.

Our ultimate goal is to secure a permanent location, similar to a charity shop, where items will continue to be free. To fund this vision, we’ve implemented a £4 donation entry fee per adult. Additionally, we welcome any financial donations as we strive to meet the growing demand for our service.

If you’re hesitant about attending The Cabin because you don’t identify with the mentioned, rest assured that our doors are open to everyone. Your presence contributes to the sense of community and support we aim to foster. Kit4kids is more than a service; it’s a place where compassion thrives, and everyone is valued.
