Kit4Kids Clothing Cabin is run entirely by volunteers. We collect, sort, wash, and redistribute gently-used children's clothing to any family who needs it — for an entry donation of just £5.

From a pre-pandemic idea in 2019, I launched the charity whilst continuing to work front line within the local NHS Ambulance Service in 2020. During pandemic times, it highlighted how much this service was needed and it has grown from strength to strength into a community movement. None of which would be possible without the incredible volunteers who make it all happen, whilst I continue to work frontline.
What started in my family home in Farncombe with just me has grown into a team of 10 incredibly dedicated volunteers working tirelessly in the shop and background.
We're a judgement-free zone — no questions asked. Our doors are open to everyone who needs a helping hand, and to anyone who shares our passion for keeping things out of landfill.
A simple, circular system that keeps children's clothing out of landfill and in the hands of families that need them.
Drop off good-quality, gently-used children's clothing, footwear and linen to Nathan's in Godalming (Monday to Saturday 10am–3pm) or at The Cabin during our Thursday evening session between 5–8pm. Every donation helps another family, whilst giving perfectly good clothing another life.
Every donated item is carefully checked, washed and ironed (where necessary) by our dedicated volunteers. We make sure every item is clean, fresh and ready to wear — because every child deserves to receive clothes with dignity and care.
Visit The Cabin and choose whatever your family needs in a relaxed, non-judgemental and welcoming space. A donation of £5 per adult coming into the Cabin helps us keep our doors open and operate this amazing system. Our priority is always making sure families have access to the clothing they need.

The Thursday evening session is a relaxed, adults-only browsing session — ideal if you’d like a little peace and quiet to browse properly.
Please do not bring clothing donations directly to The Cabin during browsing sessions. Use one of our dedicated drop-off points.

Everything you need to know before your first visit.
Just yourself! There's an entry donation of £5 per adult, so it's handy to have that ready. You don't need to book — just turn up during opening hours. Bags or a box to carry your finds home are useful.
Absolutely. Kit4Kids is open to everyone — no questions asked. Whether you're looking to save money or simply share our passion for recycling and keeping clothes out of landfill, you are very welcome.
Our main stock is children's clothing, footwear, and linen. We also carry a small selection of older children's sizes. We do not stock adult clothing, toys, or equipment.
You can drop off good-quality, gently-used children's clothing at Nathans, 15 Queen Street, Godalming (Mon–Sat 11am–3pm), or at The Cabin during opening hours. We cannot accept donations left unattended.
Please only donate items you'd be happy to give to a friend — clean, in good repair, and free from significant stains or damage. Our volunteers wash and iron everything, but items that are worn out or heavily stained unfortunately can't be redistributed.
Yes please! We're always looking for people to help with washing, ironing, sorting, and at events. We can't offer payment but the reward is real. Corporate volunteer groups are also very welcome. Just get in touch via our contact form.
Yes — the Thursday evening session (5pm–8pm) is adults only. It's a relaxed browse without the lovely-but-chaotic energy of little ones. Perfect if you want a quieter experience.
